John Parker, DC, MS, CCSP
Dr. John Parker graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Western States with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2016. As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) with a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science he has a broad knowledge of pain management techniques, rehabilitation methods, soft tissue manipulation and therapeutic taping.
Dr. Parker is a life-long physical culturist who is married with two adult children attending local colleges. Prior to his arrival at Hawthorne Wellness Center, he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Idaho State University, where he graduated with high honors in 2003. He attended Naval Officer Candidate School upon graduation, and as a submarine Officer attained the prestigious qualification of Naval Nuclear Engineer.
The academic rigors of nuclear power, however, had taken a toll on his physical performance, and while attempting to regain his previous level of fitness he suffered an injury to his back. After two years of unsuccessful treatment, he was so frustrated by the lack of information on how to improve his situation that he chose to leave his successful career in the Navy and pursue graduate level knowledge on how to heal himself.
Since achieving this goal he has dedicated himself to the education of others. When he is not at the clinic empowering patients to rehabilitate their injuries, he is working with university students in order to inspire the next generation of doctors.
