Using whole body and spinal structural assessment, chiropractic strives to identify and remove barriers to fluid movement in order to enhance function. Although perhaps best known for effective treatment of neck and back pain, chiropractic care is also a potent intervention in the treatment of headache, hip, knee, and shoulder pain and dysfunction, as well as other joint and muscle complaints.
Typical office visits involve a full body assessment with a thorough history and physical exam, followed by treatment consisting of manual therapies, physical therapy modalities, and the prescription of therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises. Diet and lifestyle recommendations are usually added to help improve and maintain overall health, well-being, and quality of life. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” This procedure is done on the affected joints and soft tissue to restore mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness and allowing joints, muscles, and ligaments to heal more quickly and completely.
Our approach to chiropractic at Hawthorne Wellness Center is distinctive in that we utilize the latest available research and clinical evidence to guide our treatment. We also strive to find solutions to each individual’s needs and help empower patients to take an active part in managing their conditions. This partnership helps to decrease the need for ongoing care.
We have a team of highly experienced chiropractors who treat a wide variety of health conditions.
